Given Msimango, the captain of TS Galaxy, has been linked to a transfer to Kaizer Chiefs, but coach Arthur Zwane has said he won’t confirm or refute the chatter.
The 25-year-old had been strongly associated with Chiefs prior to the current season after a successful 2021/22 campaign with Galaxy, but he largely put an end to the rumors after opting to extend his stay with Siyadumza.
But, according to SABC Sport, the Galaxy defender is thought to have signed a four-year contract with Amakhosi ahead of the 2023–24 season and is scheduled to join Naturena on July 1.
Journalist Lorenz Kohler from the iDiski Times questioned Zwane about the prospective arrival of the highly-regarded defender during the club’s media day on Thursday because neither club has made any public statements on the rumors so far.
“We have identified players, we have identified players and we’ll keep on trying our level best to bring in players that we think will add value to the club,” he replied.
“And yes, at the moment I’m not at liberty to divulge any information until the club makes that announcement.”
When asked whether he’s neither confirming nor denying the rumours, he responded with a “yes, sir” and a grin on his face
For Sead Ramovic this season, Msimango has played more than 90 minutes in every game, aiding the team in having the second-best defense in the DStv Premiership with just 12 goals allowed – three more than Mamelodi Sundowns.
