Kaizer Chiefs FC met Royal AM yesterday – noon in Peter Mokaba Stadium, where they defeated Mamkhize, side Royal AM 2-0 on their league game.

Kaizer Chiefs FC fans left shocked after seeing the starting eleven before the game’s kick off. Chiefs longest serving player Itumeleng Isaac Khune and Zitha Kwinika(Macheke) were dropped. According to Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach Arthur Zwane, both players were dropped because of their errors they made on the previous games.

Zwane believes Chiefs have been playing well but too many mistakes that were made individually, coated Amakhosi some points.

“When it comes to ITU and Kwinika, we have been playing well, but too many individual mistakes and it’s costing us points.

“Unfortunately, when you look at the goals we conceded, it was individual errors, not team mistakes and those things happen, but we had to make changes here and there because we have big squad.

“We have to give other players opportunities as well to showcase their talent and they responded positively, but you look at this game, and many games, the performance is the same, the only difference is the scoreline.

“We managed to take our chances, it is not that they performed badly.”- Zwane said telling the media/reporters.

Brandon Petersen was the keeper yesterday, with Itumeleng Khune on the bench. Even though Petersen was not tested while Siyabonga Ngezana got his chance ahead of Zitha Kwinika.

Apart from that, Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach, Arthur Zwane has told the reporters that the title race is now over. He said them as a team, are now focusing on the position two spot. Their dream is to participate in CAF champions league this year. After their victory against Royal AM yesterday, Kaizer Chiefs FC is now on position five with 27 points. They played yesterday’s game sitting on the position six.

Thoughts please.
