Some Kaizer Chiefs FC fans are believing former player and current IdisKi TV analyst Junior Khanye is no longer critcising Chiefs players and the team as well since head coach Arthur Zwane replying him.
Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach Arthur Zwane was asked about his thoughts about on Khanye saying Zwane is no the right person to lead Amakhosi. “Who am I to go to a level of Junior Khanye?” That is how Arthur Zwane responded to the question he was asked by the journalist.
Since Zwane replying Khanye, he has been positive lately. He even gave Chiefs a credit after winning 2-1 against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday. He also praised some Kaizer Chiefs FC players for their efforts, the likes of Brandon Petersen, Mdudusi Shabalala, Keagan Dolly, Samkelo Zwane and others.
1. Junior Khanye on Samkelo Zwane:
“He can play forward and when the ball is on the right maybe on Solomon’s feet, he knows how to create a triangle and open in the middle. He had two options to either play on the line or play from where it came from.
“He is also able to protect the ball so he is a very good ball player and he is able to screen before he receives it. He knows football and today he gave Kaizer Chiefs balance so they could play, and I think the understanding he has with Mdu Shabalala is wonderful.”- he added.
2. Junior Khanye on Mdudusi Shabala:
“The boy [Shabalala] is one the best talents I’ve ever witnessed after a while from the development ranks at Kaizer Chiefs,” Khanye told Sunday World.
“I give credit to the person who identified him, although I feel there is a lot of room for improvement in his development because I think he still needs to understand certain principles of the game.
“Truly speaking, out of all the attackers that Chiefs have currently, he is the best. With his talent, he can go far. He is still young and I am glad that he is South African,” the retired winger continued.
“I loved dribbling, I used to do it during my time as a player, myself and Thabiso Malatsi. In fact, all Daveyton-based players used to dribble a lot.
“I want him [Shabalala] to continue doing what he does, but I just want him to do it more going forward and in the half of the opponent, that way he will intimidate them and force them to make mistakes at the back.”
On Brandon Petersen, Khanye praised him for making a very great save on the last minutes that helped Amakhosi to collect three points.
