Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach Arthur Zwane has made a comment about being inconsistent. Chiefs is failing to win some games In a row. He made the comment after failing to beat ten men against TS Galaxy on Sunday and ahead of Friday’s game against Marizburg United on Nedbank cup clash.
“It’s been the story of our season. I think we have been unfortunate when it comes to injuries and consistency this season,” said Zwane at the PSL headquarters.
“Whenever we go to a third game or the second game, we lose a key player due to injury. It can also be due to unforeseen circumstances, so we have been very unfortunate.
“From there, we have to reshuffle the team again. If its not suspension like I alluded. It’s a worrying factor for us.”
Apart from that, Kaizer Chiefs FC head coach Arthur Zwane also made a comment about challenges he gets when selecting a starting eleven because of injuries.
“Sometimes we don’t even know what we are doing. That’s in terms of our starting eleven or who we want to play because things keep on changing.
“We lost two key players in one game. We lost Keagan [Keagan Dolly], we lost Caleb [Bimenyimana] in another game.
“So if you can look from the beginning of the season, we won in Richards Bay, with man one down. In Cape Town, we lost Yusuf [Maart]. It’s been the story of our season.
“To be honest, we can’t obviously focus on that, but we look into the positives and what has worked for us. We will keep on doing that. We also go for corrections because we know that we will eventually get it right.”
Kaizer Chiefs FC will play against Marizburg United on Friday. Amakhosi will be looking to bring a trophy at home. It has been eight years Kaizer Chiefs FC failing to bring a trophy in Naturena. The game will start at 19 hrs 30 min.
