Apart from that, our analyser Senzo Sambo has broken his comment regarding African Super League, where by Mamelodi Sundowns FC is taking part in that newly founded tournament.
“But honestly the Leadership we have in African Football is so poor. Just i think 2years back when Kaizer Chiefs was playing CAF Champions League, a certain team from Cameroon couldn’t even afford to book flights to come to SA, they drove with a bus to SA do you still remember how horrible the state of that bus was. Season after season we see teams forfeit fixtures in the CAF Champions League because of financial problems, the stadiums in Africa are below par.
“The CAF President instead of investing money in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup, he decides to create a competition for the elites whether it’s 8 or going to be 24 whatever its very wrong, let me ask what does a team winning R74 million benefit the country they are coming from? Then they come back with the same money to monopolize the football in our country, bribe referees and do all sorts of things.
“I hope this nonsense competition never last, it’s nonsense and people will say I’m jealous but why would i be? It’s not like my team plays CAF Champions League, investing the money in CAF competitions won’t benefit my Club or anything it will benefit all teams in the continent.
“Africa what have we done to deserve stupid leaders. Mina i knew when they put a capitalist in that CAF President position that our football in the continent is in danger, the same Man who is exploiting the people of DRC in their mines is expected to improve the standard of African football”.
