Njabulo Blom, a former star of the Kaizer Chiefs, made his preseason debut for St. Louis City last night against the New York Red Bulls.
In the sixteenth minute, the Bafana Bafana midfielder scored his team’s first goal with an amazing shot and cross!
In the 49th minute, Dante Vanzeir tied the score; however, in the 75th minute, Nokkvi Thorisson scored again from the penalty spot to give St Louis City the advantage again.
Then, at the Empire Polo Club, the Red Bulls shared the victory with a thrilling equalizer through Wikelman Carmona in the 94th minute.

Born in Dobsonville, Blom started his career at Kaizer Chiefs, and made his debut on 1 October 2019, starting against Lamontville Golden Arrows, before appearing again for the club on 27 October 2019 against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Blom appeared for the South Africa national under-20 soccer team at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
He made his debut for the South Africa national soccer team on 6 September 2021 in a World Cup qualifier against Ghana, a 1–0 home victory. He substituted Percy Tau in the 77th minute.
