Kaizer Chiefs FC played a three × 45 minutes friendly or practice match yesterday against Venda Football Academy.
There were news circulating on the social media, saying Kaizer Chiefs FC won 5-1, however, the 5-1 scoreline was not accurate. According to the Venda Football Academy team confirmation that was made earlier today, the game ended in 1-1. This is as per Venda Football Academy confirmation, that is clearing 5-1 scoreline.
Apart from that, in other news, Mamelodi Sundowns FC deffender Khuliso Mudau says Bafana Bafana will silence [Peter] Shalulile and beat Namibia on today’s clash in African Cup of Nations competition.
Bafana Bafana defender Khuliso Mudau says they are ready to battle neighbours Namibia and keeping Peter Shalulile quiet in their Africa Cup of Nations clash on Sunday evening.
“Peter is a top guy, a top striker, we just need to help each other so we can stop him from scoring goals, we train with him every day,” Mudau said ahead of the game on Sunday.
“I know the players, the others know him [too], we play in the same league in South Africa. It’s a difficult one, to be honest, but I think we can manage it.”
“I think everyone is motivated to play the game because we know how Namibia plays, we know the players, I just hope it’s going to be a good match.”
“It will be a fight because they will come [at us], they’re spirited and want to beat us as our neighbours but I think we’re ready to give them the fight and I’m confident we can win the game.”

Moroka Swallows have dismissed 22 players who went on strike due to unpaid salaries and caused the team to lose six points in December, as first reported by Robert Marawa on VumaFM.
Swallows has been in the news lately for mostly off-the-field issues. The Dube Birds didn’t play their last two DStv Premiership matches in December after players went on strike due to unpaid salaries, and they have already been punished by the PSL DC for this matter.
They were fined R1 million, with R600,000 suspended, while games were rated as walk-overs and their opponents Mamelodi Sundowns Golden Arrows received three points and 3-0 wins.
On Friday, Marawa confirmed the news, stating the club were addressing the disciplinary issue, after all the players had appeared before an internal DC.
