Bad news for Kaizer Chiefs as star player gets injured.
Kaizer Chiefs lack of fortunes this season continues as one of their key player’s gets injured again. Kaizer Chiefs vice Captain Keagan Dolly has gotten an ankle injury which might force him out for the rest of the year, after only returning from injury last month.
Keagan Dolly who joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2021 under the leadership of Stuart Baxter started his career at Chiefs on a high, linking up with Khama Billiat and managing over 28goal contributions among themselves. However things seems to have taken an incredibly bad turn in the last 12 months as Keagan Dolly’s injury woes have resurfaced to haunt him.
The Kaizer Chiefs forward managed to play over 30 games in his first season at the Club, scoring a combined 8goals for the Club and managing 7 assists but in his second season, it seems that whenever he starts to pick up form the injuries just arise as he only managed 6assists last season with 4goals.
Kaizer Chiefs have a lot of injury woes on their plate, blistering forward Ashley Du Preez has also been ruled out for a year after suffering the same type of injury, an ankle he received at training Du Preez was one of the player’s giving Kaizer Chiefs a different dimension upfront in the absence of Keagan Dolly, now witu both stars on a possibility of being ruled out for the rest of the years there’s a need for other players to stand up.
Kaizer Chiefs still have Tebogo Potsane who joined the Club this season, despite getting two assists Potsane’s game at Chiefs is yet to take off as he has been relegated to the bench, with the recent injury to Keagan Dolly, he will be hoping to take the opportunity whenever presented with both hands.
Mduduzi Shabalala is another promising young forward who will be expected to step up, Shabalala has come under heavy scrutiny at the Club in recent day’s after the exploits of his peer at arch rivals Orlando Pirates. Relebogile Mofokeng has taken the PSL by storm this season, one of the reasons why Mduduzi Shabalala has been getting heavy criticism for his performances as they expected him to take his performance to the next level after a promising first season at the Club, having managed 3 assists and 2goals so far.
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping that Keagan Dolly’s injury is not serious as it might have a lot of complications in the team, Kaizer Chiefs is currently not doing well while supporters have shown their frustrations with recent attacks on coaches at the stadium, though it may not be a good image for the Club.
